Shoe sizes use different scales around the world. For women, a UK 6 is usually an EU 39 and a US 8. For men, a UK 9 is usually an EU 43 and a US 10.
Brands don't all follow the same chart, particularly sports and European designer brands, so use this as a starting point and check the brand's guide.
